Meet Contio

We turn what gets said into what gets done.

The old notetakers take notes that nobody reads. MeetingOS turns the conversation into the first draft — the plan, the brief, the follow-up, the proposal. You edit. You ship. You never start from scratch.

Contio

[kohn-tee-oh] noun.

From Latin "conventio" meaning "gathering."
A meeting, gathering or assembly in the Roman Empire where transformative ideas were discussed.

How it all began.

The idea for MeetingOS was born at the end of a very long day for our founder back in 2018. After working his way through eight back-to-back-to-back meetings, he said “how in the world do we spend so much time in meetings, and there’s no operating system to get them organized?”

Fast-forward to 2025, and Contio was founded in Boise, Idaho to build the AI operating system for meetings: your brilliant meeting strategist, your superhuman memory, and your hyper-intelligent Chief of Staff who has you prepped, organized, and following up better than the President.

Meetings are the bane of our existence.

U.S. companies spend more than $37 billion dollars a year on meetings. Employees in American companies spend more than a third of their time in meetings. There are 48 million meetings per day in North America alone, and 71% of senior managers view them as unproductive.¹

AI notetakers have made the problem even worse — seven robots join the call, and do nothing to make the meeting better; they just record the misery, and send us emails about it.

Our Purpose

AI is changing and being woven into every element of how we operate — fast. But human connection is still how so many companies and organizations win clients, earn trust, gather the details that matter, and get things done.

Now imagine that the full depth of a conversation can naturally flow directly into the work. A meeting becomes a draft strategy. A conversation becomes a blueprint. A review becomes a personalized plan. Not a transcript or summary — a living workflow, powered by the actual story.

Our Founder

Aaron Klein founded Contio in 2025, and built our founding team around the principles of great product craftsmanship. Prior to Contio, he was the founding CEO of Riskalyze, which started in his basement in 2011.

He led the company through 42 consecutive quarters of growth, scaling to serve tens of thousands of financial advisors, and twice being named one of the world’s 10 most innovative companies in finance by Fast Company Magazine.

Riskalyze was rebranded as Nitrogen after Hg Capital became its majority owner in 2021. He passed the baton to his successor in 2023, and continues to serve on the firm’s Board of Directors.

Aaron is married to Cacey Klein, and they are parents to an amazing Korean-Ethiopian-American family that consists of Spencer, Emma and Teddy. Together, they cofounded Hope Takes Root, an initiative to use capitalism to change the future for orphans and at-risk kids in Ethiopia. They reside in Eagle, Idaho, and absolutely love it.

Built with ♥️ in Boise, Idaho

At Contio, we’re building a team of elite business athletes—fast, focused, and obsessed with craft. Innovation is our sport, and our home court is our headquarters in the Boise, Idaho area.

But our true north is the customer. We are laser focused on the people we serve—listening, learning, and building solutions that help them do the best work of their lives, and turn every meeting into a brilliant one.

Our Values

We stand for a unique set of core principles that define how we work and serve our customers.

Athletes

Agility and speed are the highest inputs to winning. Great athletes make rapid adjustments to win championships, and always play to win. Every player is critical, and their absence should hurt our results.

Wow

It’s everyone’s job to wow customers. Our asymmetric advantage is spending an insanely high percentage of our time impacting them. We consistently deliver 10x the value we capture and strive for 100x.

Craftsmanship

We constantly raise our own standards, commit to exacting craftsmanship, and infuse everything we build with beautiful design. There is no “good enough” short of insanely great.

Intensity

We operate at an incredibly fast pace, measure in days, always know our #1, and drive our business to the limits of its potential. We’d rather achieve 100% of two objectives than 80% of five.

Truth

We always tell each other the truth. We’re mentally tough enough to handle it, and we prefer to put our best minds on the toughest puzzles. We go direct, and find a way to deliver no matter the headwinds.
